August is for permit here in the Florida Keys. One of my favorite times of year targeting one of the best species that roam the flats of south Florida. If permit are on your target species list book some days in August with me and you’ll have your shots for sure. All summer long permit, bonefish, and tarpon are plentiful. It’s prime time to target a SLAM.

Whether your a fly or light tackle angler the bonefish will provide you with an angling experience you won’t soon forget. From the beautiful shallow water flats they hunt upon. To the Porsche like 0-30mph blistering runs they make once hooked. The bonefish is a must catch bucket list fish for all anglers.

We are in full swing busy season here in the Florida Keys and the fishing has been great! All of our inshore species have been plentiful and eager to please. Tarpon, permit, bonefish, snook, and redfish have all been providing exciting sight fishing opportunities with both fly and light tackle. I still have some open time for this coming summer. What a great time of year the summer is down here! All the fish and none of the people! Come on down!

Despite the tough winds my anglers have been getting it done and it’s been great to see them persevere though tough conditions! Well done gang! I can’t wait to fish with you again!

Steady winds have us seeking refuge in the tucked away nooks and crannies of the Florida Keys. We have had some great snook and baby tarpon action this past week.
